If there's something more slippery that a soapy, wet baby in a bath I don't know what it might be (a greased piglet maybe)?
Loosing your grip on your pookie can end in dunking, sputtering and tears (and that's just the mama). There are a few options for keeping little guys right-side-up in the tubby, but what works great for us are these guys:
They're Bath Dots, $6.97 by Interdesign. They stick to the bottom of the bath with suckers and use some kind of MAGIC to keep a pookie's bottom firmly in place. Unlike their sticker equivalent they're removable (so less prone to grossness) and you can even toss them in the dishwasher.
They take up no space and they live with the other tubby toys, unlike the ENORMOUS, impossible to store, baby bath we had that Teddy only fit into for about 2 months. I rather wish we had had these to start with and just used them in the sink.
We remove ours after Teddy's bathtime so I have no idea how they stand up to grown-up shower use, but they work great for little fellows.
