Wordle is this fun little online toy that let's you make word clouds, like this:

And while yes, it's a good way to lose half an hour rearranging the lyrics to Baby Got Back, it can also be kind of useful for parent types.
I made two prints for Teddy's room and a pretty cool birth announcement too (a little late for Teddy, but still!) First up is an Alphabet poster with his name picked out:
Wordle won't work with individual letters so you have to enter them as Aa (capital then small, no space). To make some letters bigger you type them in more times. So in this case I put in the Tt, Ee, and Dd five times each and the other letters only once. You can order the layout alphabetically, but i just like it better this way.

The next print is a name plaque/family tree sort of idea, with Teddy's name taking center stage (entered the most times) and the rest of us entered fewer times. You could of course do this with inspirational words or a favorite poem (it would look cute with the Owl and the Pussycat I bet). If you've entered a poem and the pesky AND's and THE's are the most prominent words you can right click on them to remove them. So once you've got you text in you can either hit 'random' till serendipity gives you the perfect colour, font and layout combo or tweak it yourself.
And lastly, to make birth announcements, I popped in Teddy's name, birth date, vital statistics and a bit about him "bigBLUEeyes", "changedOURlives", with no spaces.
Wordle only lets you save your creation to the public gallery, so if you're entering personal stuff like birth dates and full names and what have you it is best to print it directly without saving.
*please excuse the pretty dark pictures, apparently the sun is NEVER going to shine again in Toronto.
