Teddy loves him some cephalopods. He's a grinning-squealing-hand-waving fool for cuttlefish, octopus or squid. While I'm more of a puppies and pandas type I'm prepared to indulge the fascination, by playing clips of Blue Planet on YouTube.
But playing GIANT SQUID ATTACK! (no really, it's fun!) would be more authentic with one of these (not too scary) fellows:

He's a squid hat (of course!) and you can find detailed instructions to make him in pookie (or average cat) size, over at Poor Mojo. You'll need
- some knitting skill, (I'll be trying to hack a crochet version)
- Blue and White yarn,
- Eyeball buttons,
- and a certain amount of panache to carry it off.
