Wee Baby Stuff

Phew! 30 fake moustaches,  oodles of fizzy pink booze, stacks of cupcakes, enough candy to put a dentist's kid through collage and roughly a thousand  HOW-IS-MY-BABY-SUCH-A-BIG-BOY? emotional meltdowns later... Teddy's first birthday party is over.

I just wanted to share a few links that I used and loved for inspiration and supplies. First there's

Party Perfect, which is just the right amount of eye-candy/inspiration.

Martha OF COURSE makes the list too. Her craft supplies are also on the awesome side.

I made these truffles from Bakerella, they created a feeding frenzy that turned my nearest and dearest into snarling mustachioed animals. So, yes, delicious. The cupcake inspiration also came from her. As I am not so muchly with the frosting skills, I went for removable, wearable 'taches on sticks as decoration. ( and forgot to take pictures DOH!)

As well as champagne and root beer, we had these:

I took the icons from the invites and printed out new labels for the bottles. (and again, forgot to take pictures of them BEFORE they were decimated by the masses.)

I did however take pictures of my chums and family in their 'taches. It turns out even the chicest most elegant folks can look a tad 'Unabomber' in a fake moustache. Have a peek here if you like.

And lastly, we were inspired by The Daily Bread Food Bank in Toronto. We asked folks who were coming to the bash if they would donate baby food, formula or diapers instead of buying presents for the Bear (we figured we'd do it while he's too little to complain!)
