Yup, moustaches. You know, handlebar, Dali, imperial, horseshoe...
Above is the front of the invitation to Teddy's birthday party. We will be providing fake moustaches for folks who aren't suitably hirsute, the cake will be sporting a twirly handlebar as will the balloons. Weird? Well sure, but still not as scary as clowns.
Why you might ask am I throwing a 'tache themed party for a guy who won't be shaving for at least another 14 years? Well there are a few reasons. Teddy finds fake moustaches hilarious. I find fake moustaches hilarious. Fake moustaches ARE hilarious.
While Teddy won't remember his first birthday, I love the idea that he will have pictures of all his favorite people looking REALLY silly to look and laugh at when he is a bit older. The idea was inspired by these pictures that I spotted over at Nesting.
As a kid I completely loved poring over family photos, our own personal legends and mythology was really important to me and I hope it will be for Teddy too.
