Finding socks that will stay on baby feet is a bit like the quest for the Holy Grail, only cuter. We've tried a few different types and brands across the price range and I think we might have finally hit on sockies that stay on.
This is the problem:
Sockies simply slither off, (sometimes helped along by a pookie hand or mouth) so you yank them back up again and again and again. Roughly 60 squillion times a day; until you're giving some serious thought to duct taping them on.
You'd think that the more expensive the sock the more stay-on-able they'd be. Not so much. We've tried Petit Bateau socks sent specially from France, (find them here for $9.60 a pair) cute, but off they came.
The mom-blogoshere seems to come down in favour of Baby Gap sockies, we didn't have great luck with them, but again muy cute.
What works on the Pookie's (admittedly GINORMOUS) feet is these:
Old Navy Crew socks, we picked up a four pack in store, but their online exclusive deal will net you 6 pairs for $8.50. They come in pink or grey and they seem to have miraculous staying power. So that's one less thing to think about.
