Wee Baby Stuff

I posted a while ago about the website 1001 rules for my unborn son. I LOVE the idea of passing down the stuff (whether silly or useful) that is important to you. Whilst I was writing invitations for Ted's naming ceremony to people whom I knew would not be able to attend I had an idea; we would start a hard copy book version of 1001 things; this way even the folks who couldn't make it to the ceremony will be able to contribute. To that end I included an insert in the invitations that said this:

Got a rule to live by? Or a favourite piece of art you think everybody should see? Want to recommend a life-changing song?
We’re hoping that Ted’s guest book will be a how-to guide to life, full of rules of thumb and useful advice about everything ever.
So far the list includes:
‘Mind your mother’ and 'Fresh underpants, fresh socks, every day, no exceptions’,
We would love it if you could think of a few things that you ‘wish you knew when’ to add.

This is the book that we've chosen to put all the pearls of wisdom in, it's a large Moleskine notebook, we could have gone for something a Little fancier but A'ly I love Moleskine's and B'ly I wanted the book to be something portable and usable and comfortable feeling, so Ted can ignore our advice more effectively when he's a surly teen.
