Wall Decals

Wall decals might be old news for some of you but I wanted to do a post about them because I think they are one of the best ways to spice up a nursery or kid's room.

Why you ask? They can make a bold, graphic statement after just minutes of installation. They are easy to install and removable (read: no painting over a giant mural when you decide you need to sell your house). They are cost-effective and budget friendly. They come in all shapes, sizes, colors, designs and are customizable.

We put one on a wall in O & S's nursery and it makes me smile everytime I see it. Because of the decal, we were able to do a more neutral color scheme on the walls and use the decal as the focal point. We went with a gender neutral nursery full of trees, owls, and birds. One of these days when the twins become good nappers (i.e. more than 30 minutes) I will do a full post on their nursery with more DIY ideas.
