I adore Orla Kiely accessories. All of them. There was once a time in my life that I actually carried a purse. One of my favorites was my Orla Kiely Stem Print purse. And then came babies and the diaper bag. I searched for the perfect diaper bag. Something functional, cute, and practical. But I couldn't quite find anything that I was in love with and since I was going to be carrying this thing everywhere with me, I continued my search. And came across this:
A few clicks and mucho dinero later, it was mine. At $235, it was not a cheap diaper bag (although I purchased it for less $ on Piperlime with a sale code) but I am glad that I decided to invest in it. It is something I use everyday and I have never run short on space or wished I had a different diaper bag. And almost every time I go out, I receive compliments and questions about where I purchased it.
There aren't a lot of bells and whistles on it but here are a few things I love about it. First, the size. I know a big diaper bag isn't for everyone, but with twins I have to carry a lot of "stuff" around. Think: double the diapers, toys, bottles, blankets. One of the features I love deals with the size issue. There are tabs on the side of the bag that allow me to snap the sides down, making it slightly smaller. Or I can unsnap them to make it larger. Another great feature is the material - it is wipeable and durable. And lastly, I love the adjustable wide strap. I can wear it over the shoulder or across the body, as well as sling it over the stroller handles. And my favorite thing about it - the print......fun, colorful, modern!
An actual Orla Kiely diaper bag hit the market last year as well. If you are looking for a true diaper bag with changing mat, then this is the Orla option. For me it just wasn't quite big enough.
If you are looking for some other diaper bag options, here is a list of other brands I considered. But remember, any bag or purse can serve the purpose of a diaper bag!
