Who knew you could make an activity mat using hula hoops? AmberLou, that's who. Her daughter doesn't seem pleased with the outcome, but we sure are! ;)

AmberLou shares the entire process with us over at The Paisley Cupcake, including, of course, the materials we'll need to make one. Here's the list to get us started:

• a hula hoop!
• approximately one yard of fabric for the mat
• coordinating fabric for the pole covers, about 1/4 yard
• batting
• sewing machine
• thread, scissors, etc.
• a crafting buddy to lend a helping hand, optional but suggested
