A couple of weeks ago a baby shower invitation arrived in the mail, which could only mean one thing: Crochet for baby! I knew I wanted to make a sweater so started searching for a pattern on line. I found a new hoodie pattern in Bernat's collection. It's super simple, which would make it the perfect project for someone who is moving up from rectangles, like scarves and blankets and such. When I finished the hoodie, I had plenty yarn left over to whip out a pair of booties. That pattern is found here. I altered the finish trim (with a reverse single crochet) on the booties to match the trim around the hoodie's sleeves. Together, they make a very sweet set! I hope mommy and daddy love them as much as I do. :)

I really can't get over how adorable she is. So adorable in fact she could be my entire marketing campaign!
I guess I've always been of the opinion that I wouldn't be able to make enough to pay for my time. But I dunno...how much are darling baby sweaters going for these days??!! ;)
Maven, you should totally sell these on Etsy (or even here on WBS). Here's a snap of our Little Miss in one of Maven's sweaters:
