Yup, they're LEATHER! Prudent Baby provides not only the how-to but also a free downloadable pattern as well. The maker used a regular sewing machine to stitch them and suggests using old leather goods from Goodwill to make them. Brilliant!

I tried several patterns for baby booties, both knitted and crocheted. Ran into problems with all. Your Elfin is THE BEST. So easy and so cute!
