Every so often I am struck by the beauty of someone else's brilliant idea. Stumbling upon Romp's collection of vintage animal silhouette's inspired one of those moments. These silhouettes are simply stunning! Each one is hand cut in Inke Heiland's Netherlands workshop by a group of developmentally disabled adults who are given meaningful work they enjoy. I adore the pink paisley giraffe, and for the first time in my life I am in love with an ostrich.

These silhouettes come in a variety of different animals, each with its own unique retro-inspired patterns and prints. Will you choose your favorite animal or create a scenic savanna? Eeny, meeny, miney, moe...

The silhouettes are made from actual wallpaper. They are not decals and they are not reusable. You must apply and removes them as you would any wallpaper - carefully! Each animal cut-out comes with its very own DIY kit that includes the silhouette (in one or two pieces, depending on the size), instructions, paste and a brush.
