If you treasure those 100 % cotton and cotton blend baby duds and blankets, you won't want "baby" stains to become a permanent part of the design. Our local paper had a recipe from a veteran DIY-er for an incredible laundry soak that works great. Do not use this on fine washables or bright colors as it contains bleach.
What you need:
non-aluminum large container, kitchen or laundry sink
cup powder dishwashing soap
1/4 cup chlorine bleach
1 gallon hot water
What you do:
- Mix well until powder dissolves
- Test for colorfastness on clothing item
- Place garment in solution and soak for 5-10 minutes
- If stain remains, soak up to 20 minutes more
- Rinse and launder

*Another great trick to getting formula stains out of baby clothes is using Fels-Naptha Soap. It's old fashioned, but it works wonders.
Wet the stain with warm water, rub the bar of Fels-Naptha soap on it until stain disappears
Wash as usual.
