Babies, baby rooms, baby stuff, it's all wonderful. I love mid-century modern design, teaching others how to make fabulous things for their home and being creative. My specialties are furniture and sewing. Currently, I'm planning a class to teach new moms how to sew the MOST darling Halloween costumes for their wee trick or treaters. We're starting early this year.

It seems that even Milan Design Week is frantically working the baby/kids market this year. Grown up designers trying to emulate the creativity of kids just doesn't seem right. Please excuse me while I proselytize... Kids' creativity and imagination is sacred ground, in my opinion. I'm from the school of thought that PLAY is a child's work. They're sewing Halloween costumes for their toddlers. The new babies will have to go as blobs. hehe. I think a class on sewing cute baby clothes would be fabulous. The Amy Butler book on sewing for little ones and anything else darling. Too many ideas.
